What is Asthma?
Asthma is a common lung condition that causes occasional breathing difficulties.
It affects people of all ages and often starts in childhood, although it can also develop for the first time in adults.
There’s currently no cure, but there are simple treatments that can help keep the symptoms under control so it doesn’t have a big impact on your life.
Symptoms
The main symptoms of asthma are:
● Wheezing (a whistling sound when breathing) ● Breathlessness ● A tight chest, which may feel like a band is tightening around it ● Coughing
The symptoms can sometimes get temporarily worse. This is known as an asthma attack.
Several conditions can cause similar symptoms, so it’s important to get a proper diagnosis and correct treatment.
Your GP will usually be able to diagnose asthma by asking about symptoms and carrying out some simple tests.
Treatments
The main types are:
● Reliever inhalers – used when needed to quickly relieve asthma symptoms (salbutamol) ● Preventer inhalers (steroid) – used every day to prevent asthma symptoms occurring ● Some people also need to take tablets.
Causes and triggers
Asthma is caused by swelling (inflammation) of the breathing tubes that carry air in and out of the lungs. This makes the tubes highly sensitive, so they temporarily narrow.
It may occur randomly or after exposure to a trigger. Common asthma triggers include:
● Allergies – to house dust mites, animal fur or pollen, for example ● Smoke, pollution and cold air ● Exercise ● Infections like colds or flu ● Identifying and avoiding your asthma triggers can help you keep your symptoms under control

I have asthma and exercise regularly. My asthma is not severe. The main symptoms include wheezing, chest tightness, coughing up blood, and shortness of breath.
I was told my doctor was not going to give Ventolin a try. I was told my doctor would give me Ventolin twice a day.
After a month, I was told the Ventolin was going to be cheaper and I would need to try twice a day for the first two weeks. I have been trying for a few weeks to see if this would work, and I have also been told Ventolin is better than Salamol in treating the symptoms of asthma.
I have had no problems with the Ventolin, and with my regular asthma, and the Ventolin is the only medication I have tried. It works for almost three weeks. I have been told I can try twice a day for the first two weeks.
The Ventolin is the only medication that will work for an hour or two after you breathe in, and this is my last day of using the Ventolin. I have been using the Ventolin as a reliever every day for the past few months, and have been using Ventolin as a quick relief inhaler for more than a week. I am a bit nervous about the next day, and will continue using Ventolin as it is the best medication I can buy.
I was prescribed Salamol for asthma in September. I have never used it before, but I have had no problems with the Ventolin. I have never had problems with my Ventolin, and it is the only medication that will work for an hour or two after you breathe in. I am having a mild asthma attack and have been using Ventolin as a reliever. I am taking the Ventolin every day.
I am very happy with my treatment. The only side effects were the itching and swelling in my chest and the shortness of breath. I have also been given an inhaler. My doctor is concerned about the Ventolin, and he has ordered two more for it.

It was only a week and I was able to give the Ventolin twice a day.

I am not sure why it is not working for me. I have taken the Ventolin and it has worked for a week and it is not going to work for me.
I am also taking the Ventolin for a few days, and am having mild asthma symptoms. I am going to use the Ventolin as a quick relief inhaler for this.
